As I reflect on my day to day routine and key beauty products that I use everyday, I realized that this would be a good opportunity to share some of my essentials! These are some things that I am loving right now regarding beauty products:
1. Garnier Fructis Style Curlc Sculpting Gel (Extra Strong) $4 - This product is a necessity for me. I already have curly hair, so I wanted a product that would keep my curls in place, as well as neutralize my hair frizzing throughout the day. I have tried many different products over the years, and this is by far my favorite. You can find this at Target, Walmart, CVS, or even Amazon. It is extremely cheap too, which makes it even better!
2. Origins Products - I am obsessed with all Origins products right now. I am not a huge makeup person, so I make sure to keep my face clean and clear as possible. I love that the brand Origins is all natural use renewable resources, wind energy, and earth-friendly practices. This brand is a tad bit pricey, but I promise you it's worth it! My moisturizer lasts me about six months, and that is a long shelf life for moisturizer.
Main three products I use from there (In order of use):
•Modern Friction Nature's Gentle Dermabrasion Exfoliator {$39.50}: I use this product 2-3 times a week after an intense workout. Exfoliator is not good to use everyday, because it will dry out and break layers of your skin. I love using this product, because it makes my face feel so clean and extra soft. I put it on my face dry and rub with my hands, then I wash it off with warm water and a wash cloth.
•Antioxidant Cleanser With White Tea {$12} - This is the product I use after I exfoliate. Even though I do not exfoliate everyday, I do use this product everyday. I try to do it once in the morning and once in the evening. It makes my skin feel so refreshed, soft and nourished. The fact that the product is infused with white tea makes me feel awake and extra clean! I put warm water on my face before use, then put a tiny bit on each part of my face then wash off with warm water and a washcloth.
•Origins A Perfect World SPF 25 Age-Defense Moisturizer With White Tea {$52.96} - This is the last product I use after the previous two. This one also my FAVORITE. I put this moisturizer on before I put my makeup on, when I take my makeup off, and any time my skin feels dry. I use this moisturizer about three times a day, and I do not have one negative thing to say about it. The key is to just use a little and not over-do it. Supposedly, it also is age-defying, so it will help decrease wrinkles as you age. This product does not make my face shiny which is another plus!
3. Mario Badescu Facial Spray With Aloe, Herbs and Rose Water {$7} - This product is just a basic face spray, but it is amazing! I use this product everyday after I wash my face and before I put on my moisturizer. It makes my face feel refreshed and it smells great. Like I said previously, I try to make sure my face and skin is healthy as possible, so this product is just an extra layer of protection. You can get this product pretty much anywhere. I got mine from Ulta!
4. Hempz Original Body Moisturizer {$23} - This is my absolute favorite lotion. I have used plenty of lotion over the years from Bath and Body Works, Anthropology, and other name brand stores. None of them come close to this product. I use this every time I get out of the shower and whenever my skin feels dry. I go through this product like crazy, but it is worth the money! The bottle sizes are pretty big, and normally you can get them for a discount at Ulta. There are plenty of different scents that all smell good, but my favorite is the original scent. I live by this stuff!
5. PureSpa Essential Oil Diffuser {$29.99} - I truly belief by oil diffusers and that they create the mood in the room. Even though I don't put this on my body, the oils that spread throughout the room are shown to make your skin clearer, reduce allergies and reduce pores. Depending on what type of oil, they can either make you feel upbeat, relaxed of focused. My favorite is lavender, because when I do homework or just chill out in my room I love to feel relaxed. I use this oil diffuser about everyday, and it lasts for up to eight hours! I got mine from Amazon, but I'm sure there are other places to get this oil diffuser or other ones similar.
6. Mac Pro Longwear Painterly Paint Pot {$22} - When I do wear eyeshadow, I always make sure to put on this eye primer before I do. This product comes in a various amount of shades. I love how it's so pigmented and thick, but blends right into your skin. It makes my eyeshadow last all day! Even though it's a tad pricey, I have had the same paint pot for over two years now and it I use it almost everyday.
7. Kylie Jenner Lip Kits {$27} - I don't wear lipstick often, but when I do it's the Kylie Lip Kit. This may sound basic, but they truly are as great as they sound. I love the matte look, and it's so pigmented that it comes on thick and stays on while you eat, drink and throughout the day. The kit comes with a liner and a matte lipstick, but you can get them in singlets in which they are cheaper. You can only get these on the Kylie Cosmetic website, so be careful if you go anywhere else! Tons of people create knock-offs of them, and they end up getting extreme rashes and their lips break out. My favorite shades: Charm, Head Over Heels, Candy K, Koko K, Leo, Mary Jo, Exposed and Mailboo.
