1. Go on a Walk
Whenever feeling anxious, stressed, or a sense of overwhelm, I find that going outside is an immediate fix. Being surrounded with fresh air and Vitamin D is actually proven to help reduce stress. Moving your body also releases endorphins that can change your mood instantly. Whether you go on a mile walk and listen to your surroundings, pop your AirPods in, or go for a light jog down the street, all of these little acts of movement can improve your mood.

Saw this on one of my daily walks. My neighbor was giving out Easter egg coloring sheets for the neighborhood! Such a sweet and creative way to spread joy during this time.
2. Bake a Fun Treat
During this time, it is important to understand that some things are different! Do not be too hard on yourself when it comes to your strict diet or your eating schedule. While at home, reward yourself with a fun treat once in a while, and use this as a way to spend time with your family or friends. Baking with the ones who you are at home with can create fun memories and of course produce a yummy result. Make this a time where you try new recipes in the kitchen, expand your palette, and enjoy foods with your loved ones.

3. Read a new and exciting book
Books are such an easy way to escape from the world around you. Whether you want to take this time and start a new hobby, learn about a time in history, fantasize through a fun romance novel, or become motivated through a self-help book, there are endless opportunities and can be delivered to your door within a couple days through Amazon (refer to my blog post about book recommendations here).
4. Shift Your Attitude
Your mood is largely impacted by YOUR attitude. YOUR mindset. YOUR outlook. The choice is yours whether or not you want to view the glass half-full, or half-empty. During this time of uncertantity, it can be helpful to focus on the things that you can control. Your attitude is one of those things. Shift your mindset from looking at the negatives, to focusing on the positives. Whether that be more time with loved ones, more relaxation time, more time to get outdoors or more time to watch your favorite movies - just enjoy & be present. This quarantine is NOT permanent!

5. Start Gratitude Journaling
Journaling can be a great way to start your mornings off positive. We all have extra time in the mornings, so why not create some new habits? Pick out a cute journal online, order it and use that as your safe place. Start by writing 5-10 things you are grateful for each morning, and then end it with an affirmation. By stating things you are grateful for (small things), then you are more likely to notice more blessings throughout the day. This can be a huge mood booster as well as confidence booster! You should always come first, so why not take this time to work on becoming your best self?!
