Charlotte Healthy Food Guide

Hi, everyone! Recently, I have been spending a lot of time in the city of Charlotte, NC! Within every city I travel to, I like to find healthy options when dining, on the go and to try new recipes out of my comfort zone! If you ever find yourself in Charlotte, I hope this guide helps you if you are wanting to eat clean, yummy, healthy eats!


General Healthy Restaurants (Dine-in/Takeout)






1. Flower Child // South End

- fresh ingredients with a variety of items (vegan, protein-packed, fresh foods)

2. Chopt // Uptown

- salads that can be personilizated with over 60 different ingredients



3. Clean Eatz // South End

- healthy meal-prepped meals for dine-in and delivery



4. Living Kitchen // South End

- Plant-based! They have lots of different dishes, as well as juices and smoothies!


5. Oh My Soul // NoDA

- Vegan! This restuarant is South African-based to emphasis comfort foods, wine and cocktails!



6. Kid Cashew // Dilworth

- Mediterraneon-focused with vegan options


7. Nourish // Delivery-based

- meal delivery service that offers vegan dishes and organic dishes!


Brunch


1. Eight & Sand Kitchen // South End

- Lots of salads, vegan options, and coffee!



2. ROOTS Cafe // South End

- They are an all day breakfast and brunch place with locally-sourced ingredients


Juices / Smoothies



1. Green Brothers // Uptown & Dilworth

- smoothies, juices, Acaí bowls, GF/VG baked goods



2. CLT Nutrition // South End

- smoothie bar where you can get a two-part combo meal replacement shake and flavored tea



3. Cheers Nutrition // Eastfield Rd.

- lots of options for protein smoothies, vegan and GF friendly, shake, coffee, teas + energy, protein snacks



4. Village Juice Co. // Optimist Hall

- juice bar, smoothies, grain bowls, and salads



5. Frutta Bowls // Plaza Midwood

- smoothies, juices, Acaí bowls


Sweets / Desserts



1. Jeni's Ice Cream // Noda & South End

- ice cream place with vegan options


2. Ocha Time // Plaza Midwood

- can get bubble tea



3. Pop Bar // NoDa

- a refresing treat right in the center of NoDa! They do have dairy free options


- vegan bakery with free delivery up to 25 miles!


Coffee


1. Not Just Coffee // South End

- pour-over coffee



2. ROOTS Cafe // South End

- also have food with locally sourced ingredients



3. The Hobbyist // North Davidson St.

- coffee and bottle shop



4. Undercurrent Coffee // Plaza Midwood & Optimist Hall

- carefully-sourced ingredients and sustianable practies with foods as well, like avocado toast
